Job Overview
The Strategic Sales Director, Surgical Workflows is responsible for successfully managing, leading and executing key corporate initiatives and developing strategies for SW including for pre and post support activities, HPG/HCA accounts and for our Healthcare Planning and Design Managers (HPDM). The position keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action, and focuses on HDPM and initially HPG/HCA. In addition, the position directs and supports the Surgical Workflows Territory Managers and Account Managers to achieve annual sales and profit objectives aligned to HPG and other facilities. The position formulatescomplex selling strategies and programs that both defend current Getinge revenue and create new avenues of revenue growth within assigned corporate initiatives and Healthcare Planning & Design, to accelerate orders and revenue goals set by the company. In addition to these functions, this position will actively develop and organize internal resources to align to the procurement and design requirements of the HPG/HCA design teams.
The position will work closely with Getinge field sales teams and HPDMs, as well as Corporate Accounts, to evaluate market opportunities and sales potential. This position will work cross functionally with internal stakeholders (including Field Sales, Corp Accounts, Project Management, Sales Ops, Field Service, Technical Support, Finance, GFS) and serve as the main point of contact for all assigned strategy driven Surgical Workflows projects.This position requires the experience and expertise to lead critical and strategic projects and work streams, as well as the capability of promoting and leading process improvement initiatives. This position will influence key partners and cross-functional teams towards enhancing the team's capabilities.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Recruit, coach and develop organizational talent.

- Demonstrate effective change leadership and keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
- Monitor and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.)
- Develop and articulate a strategic vision for areas of responsibility. Leads assigned strategies, HPDM and initial focus of HPG, by developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals and programs that support division, business unit, and company objectives.
- Lead strategy for penetrating targeted accounts that will be identified through collaboration with various levels of management in the sales organization. Formulates cross-business unit sales strategies and plans for assigned corporate initiatives and HPDM, as well as work closely with other Getinge business units (SW, IC, Ambulatory, Consumables, Digital Health Solutions, and Service/Project operations.)
- Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, marketing team, service team, human resources, cross-divisional directors, outside regulatory agencies, customers, vendors and/or suppliers.
- Work cross divisionally to align company resources to assigned corporate initiative project requirements (initially HPG/HCA.)
- Provide direction and guidance to sales managers and the field team on assigned strategies (initially HPG/HCA.)
- Ensure consistent communication is kept with key contacts and Field Sales, including all levels of Getinge management.
- Understand HCA project design standards, create tools and resources to assist the field sales team, and work across the business to insure that project timelines and corporate expectations are being met for each HPG/HCA project within the SWIC business unit.
- Analyze and report forecasts for bookings and revenue on a monthly and quarterly basis, as well as outlook for future months. Ensures that field team is accountable for correlating data such as sales process, project and short cycle pipeline data, lead management, and accurate maintenance of CRM data.
- Monitor progress of departments or units toward divisional and company goals. Monitors all costs associated with assigned business work stream as well as company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability, and industry trends and the external environment.
- Critically analyze sales data from a variety of sources, which includes using analysis to validate or create effective sales and operational strategies; and introduce innovative ways and best practices of interpreting and applying data.
- Monitor and ensure assigned initiative and HPDM performance and customer service through regularly scheduled business reviews.
- Keep Getinge's vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Corporate Account Manager in the medical device industry, and/or 5 years of combined experience in a direct sales, and/or leadership role within the medical device industry.
- Understanding of medical construction engineering preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to coach and guide others with effective change leadership and emphasis on strategic business acumen, team building and brand enhancement.
- Advanced level understanding of designing patient care spaces, and ability to navigate complex and highly structured selling environments.
- Ability to enhance an entrepreneurial environment.
- Effective presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated expert-level negotiating skills and ability to gain trust and persuasively influence stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills. Ability to coordinate and lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experience leading and directing cross-functional teams of peers (without direct reporting relationship).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate opportunity and data-driven solutions to senior management.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Travel of approximately 40%.
Total Compensation Range = $269,000- $289,000 ($180,000 to $200,000 base depending on experience & location $89,000 at plan for target incentive) plus company benefits outlined below.
