Warehouse and Quality Specialist Description: The ideal candidate for the Warehouse and Quality Inspection Specialist role will have a combination of both Warehouse and Quality Control (QC) experience. This position can be fast paced and requires candidates to possess the ability to pay attention to detail to perform mechanical and visual receiving & shipping inspection on hardware, fasteners, fabrications, and electrical products within all degrees of complexity. Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking product against the packing list.
- Processes paperwork regarding UPS shipments including verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct UPS postage tape, following customer shipping instructions and insuring the shipment when necessary.
- Documents, tags, controls, and segregates product in accordance with established procedures.
- Uses controlled stamp to indicate product acceptance and certificate accuracy.
- Performs AQL sample lot inspections of drawing characteristics
- Inspects inbound & outbound materials for conformance, and supplier documentation, manufacture/special process certifications
- Supports internal and external ISO audits to initiate discrepancy reports and hold notices
- Manages QC equipment for 3rd party calibration and Non-Conforming Material Receipt (NCMR) Cage Management
- Follows quality processes, ISO facility internal procurement clauses and internal work instructions to review & interpret customer requirements and supplier quality documentation
Warehouse and Quality Specialist Requirements: The Warehouse and Quality Specialist should preferably possess a high school diploma or GED and have a valid driver’s license. The Warehouse and Quality Specialist should preferably possess previous inspection or quality control experience while performing the physical demands associated with a warehouse environment. This includes standing continuously, lifting up to 75lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity. The Warehouse and Quality Specialist should possess the ability communicate effectively with co-workers, organize and prioritize job tasks to aid in satisfying customer requirements. In addition the ideal Warehouse and Quality Specialist should preferably possess the following:
- Associate Degree/Trade School (2 yr. min.) in Quality/Material Composition, Non-Destructive testing or equivalent program
- 2-years work experience in Industrial or Distribution environment or equivalent experience
- Familiar with interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation
- Previous ISO Quality Systems experience
- Previous Global Company experience
- Quality Certification
- Statistics training & experience
- Working Knowledge of and application of UL/CE/CSA/IEC/ASTN/ANSI and other relevant Global Regulatory Codes
