Construction Field Engineer- Electrical

Responsibilities

Ghafari Associates is looking for a CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER- ELECTRICAL to join the team. This role will be ON-SITE at the new FORD plant location in GLENDALE, KY.  The position will begin in October 2022 and last (roughly) until March 2025.  It is an hourly paid position, with potential for weekly OT pay (1.5x hourly rate) of 5-10 hours.  There is also potential for a monthly stipend for expenses.  

Construction Field Engineer inspects, monitors and documents the work in progress on site for facility projects during construction, commissioning, final acceptance, and post-construction phases to ensure the work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and the project schedule. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Serve as a liaison between the contractor, architect and engineers
• Review, comment, and approve construction documents
• Review, comment, and approve shop submittals
• Review, comment, and approve Request For Information (RFI’s) forms
• Provide field checks and/or investigations as per request of office team
• Gather site/facility photos during and upon completion of the project.
• Attend construction meetings on behalf of AE Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred 
• Professional Registration preferred but not required

Experience:

• 5 years of experience with construction and the administration of construction contracts.
• LEED training preferred
• ADA training preferred
• Safety training preferred

Skills/Competencies:

• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Schedule, AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred
• Excellent communication and written skills
