Milan Job Purpose: The Digital Merchandising Planning Specialist will be responsible for the online assortment offer definition in terms of sales plan and related investment, along with the performance monitoring and the management of the relationship with the key stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: Merchandising sales planning Plan the most balanced assortment for the online channel in terms of merchandising mix, full price/markdown demand, average selling price, for the fiscal year broken down by month, based on the strategic direction and on the financial targets. Assess the total investment need (OTB) for seasonal and carry over merchandise, as well as pre-collection and show budget allocation, along with the HQ Merchandising Planning team. Take part to the buying seasonal campaigns activities, starting from the attendance to the collection presentations in showroom to the investment evaluation with the Buying team (order amount versus budget), ending with the buying review presentation with CEO, HQ Merchandising Planning and HQ Retail Merchandising & Intelligence. Monitor collection arrivals plan in order to do a sense check of the feasibility of the top-line sales plan through a bottom-up stock analysis. Catalogue performance monitoring & reporting Update and check the weekly product catalogue online publication and highlight any critical issues based on the level of stock online versus stock ordered and received. Update and monitor weekly sales performance, sell-through, back in stock requests and the other most relevant Key Performance Indicators by product line and by market and share the main insights during the periodical reviews with the Buying and Site Merchandising teams. Follow-up to the weekly trading meeting action plan by running ad-hoc analysis (deep dive on macro category performance broken down at micro level, return rate trend, season on season performance, etc.). Cross-team activities management Liaise with the HQ Merchandising planning team when it comes to the sales projection evaluation to be reflected into the forecasting system and feedback on any potential improvement to the process and tool. Touch base regularly with the regions (North America, APAC) to align on the online merchandising sales planning strategy and to discuss about any potential opportunity to improve sales (stock replenishment, stock transfers, etc.). Partner with the Information Technology team from time to time to ensure data accuracy in the company business intelligence system, and eventually suggest improvements or integration of new metrics. Join cross-team project taskforces focused on the key digital fields such as Digital Analytics, Omnichannel Projects, Customer Relationship Management, in order to promoting ideas and create new synergies. Profile: Preferred 2 years of experience in a similar role in a product planning or production planning position. High proficiency with Excel and its advanced features (pivot tables, calculated fields, etc.). Strong quantitative and analytical skills with high attention and accuracy to details and to the look and feel of the final outcomes. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and skilled in managing multiple workstreams/projects often in teamwork and sometimes with tight timelines. Good flexibility and communication skills.
