OB/GYN Peds Nurse (RN) Manager Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager will be responsible for leading a team of nurses in providing exceptional care to their patients. The Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of our nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies, and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Specialty areas include Women’s, Pediatrics, and HIV patients. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and supervise a team of nurses in our specialty areas, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care
- Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in specialty areas
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and therapists, to ensure effective patient care in our specialty areas
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and other stakeholders, particularly within the LGBTQ community
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help to develop and implement new policies and procedures for our specialty areas
Requirements:
- Registered RN, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- A minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience
- A minimum of three years of previous leadership experience in a team lead, supervisor, or manager role
- Ability to effectively communicate with and manage staff
