We are seeking a Southern California-based Sales Engineer to support our Enterprise Sales team in the Southwest Region. T
he Sales Engineer is a critical component of the sales team in the region. The primary responsibility is to drive technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities in Enterprise accounts. A Sales Engineer will have in-depth, hands-on experience with products and services, as well as competitor's products and services, and can demonstrate solid networking and security skills to customers and partners.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical Sales support for all Gigamon products and solutions.
  • Performs a high-level specialized systems engineering role as an individual contributor specializing in pre-sales activities 
  • Performs in-depth and technical presentations for customers, partners, and events.
  • Designs network monitoring architectures with top customers.
  • Responsible for all customer proof of concepts and product evaluations from deployment to completion.
  • Provides mentorship/guidance on Technology and competitive trends to clients, partners, and employees.
  • Manage key End User technical relationships.
  • Communication driver between Field and Corporate on technical issues.
  • Complex pre-sales technical support.
  • Account and Partner Management/Development

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering); or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer role in network and Security.
  • Experience in VMWare, AWS, or Azure is desirable
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Effective technical presentation skills.
  • Good Communication capabilities.
  • Comfortable with technical and business English usage (documents reading, e-mails, conference calls).

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role based out of Gigamon’s Santa Clara, CA, Headquarters office is $108,000 - $154,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. 

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include health insurance, health savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability, 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, paid time off (holidays, vacation, and sick), tuition reimbursement, employee assistance program (EAP), business travel accident insurance, employee discounts, and employee referral program. Additionally, employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Profit Interest Units plan.
