QA Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products through the implementation of quality control processes and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Oversee Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense programs at the processing facility
• Updates company GMP’s, Food Safety handbooks and manuals for compliance
• Coordinates internal auditing processes
• Assist with the development of SOP’s and the implementation
• Maintains QA tracking log with final disposition for product on HOLD
• Monitor and verify of HACCP, CP’s, CQP’s
• Report to QA Manager and Production Supervisor of any deviations
• Monitor quality on incoming raw, finished product
• Daily GMP’s and GHP inspections
• Food safety compliance monitoring (HACCP)
• Hold and released non-confirming products
• Released product after verification
• Calibration of measurements, equipment, ORP, PH meter, etc.
• Provide support to QA technicians as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of food safety programs
• HACCP plan management
• Understanding of food safety and microbiological controls, testing and standards
• Computer Literate – Microsoft
• Process validations and reporting requirements
• Able to maintain high level of confidentiality

7. Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work weekends when necessary

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School or equivalent
• 3 year in food safety
• HACCP Certification preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.02 - $25.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
