Assistant Teacher

Ginger Bread Preschool and Childcare is seeking a full-time Assistant Float Teacher to add to one of our dedicated teams in Windsor or Deforest!

Education and Qualifications of an Assistant Teacher: Must have completed a minimum of 1 course for credit or non-credit in early childhood education, or completed the Assistant Teacher training within 6 months after assuming this position.  Must be at least 17 years of age.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Teacher:

• Assist the teacher in care and education of children, classroom, and supplies.
• Take sole responsibility for the group for short periods of time as required.
• Follow program of center as designed by the curriculum teacher.
• Assist teacher in evaluation of children if need arises.
• Assist teacher in parent conferences if need arises.
• Assist in keeping center neat, attractive, and safe (inside and out.)
