Job title: Scrum Master
Location: Omaha, NE
Onsite from day 1
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
- Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
- Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
- Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Support the product owner and provide education where needed
Basic Qualifications
- Prior experience on a scrum team for design and implementation of applications
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
- Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
- Experience with successful Agile techniques
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Demonstrable experience of asset and knowledge discovery supporting the creation of knowledge articles.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting data migration within the agile lifecycle.
- Demonstrable experience in working with product owners to identify, deliver and prioritize activities required to build the product backlog.
- Demonstrable experience of working with varied scrum teams at a mix of virtual and physical locations to deliver against the scrum sprints.
- Demonstrable experience in hosting and planning regular stand-ups as well as sprint planning.
- Demonstrable experience in running and presenting retrospectives both physically and remotely.
- Significant experience in complex solutions for large government organizations or private corporations using a diverse engineering and technology team
- Happy to, where necessary attend and visit Leidos and customer sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate with other stakeholders at different sites.
