Girl Scouts of Western Washington is seeking an HR Generalist to support our growing organization. The Human Resources
Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, and will partner with payroll to ensure that all HR changes are entered into Paylocity, benefits administration, leave administration, compensation, staff training and development, performance management, and developing and enforcing company policies and practices.
This position requires 60% office time, traveling at a minimum of 8 hours per week to other GSWW locations. Flexibility to travel to other locations as needed and deemed necessary required. Girl Scouts of Western Washington could reclassify this position to an in-person role as needed to meet the business needs The ideal candidate will have generalist (or equivalent) experience and experience managing, implementing or developing HR programs with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion. This position is a regular, full-time position and it is required to be or become a Washington State resident. This is an Exempt Salaried Full-Time position $76,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.

Requirements
Essential Functions:

- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Develops and Manages employee onboarding, ensuring collaboration and coordination with supervisors and teams, and is responsible for a positive employee onboarding experience.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs Including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Supports finance payroll team in administering accurate employee pay and benefits as required.
- Creates a positive work culture at Girl Scouts, supporting employee engagement activities that improve employee morale. Collaborate with GSWW Diversity Equity & Inclusion functions to ensure integration into HR best practices and daily functions.
- Update HR processes to increase efficiency, including integration with IT-related support functions specific to employee onboarding, terminations, policy, and procedure management.
- Ensures appropriate HR file and access management in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Manage HR content on Teams and SharePoint sites, acting as site administrator.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Participates and manages required HR compliance and related audit activities.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required or 3 years of experience in an HR department
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- Experience providing HR services and support in a remote and hybrid environment.
- Knowledge and experience with Office 365-specifically SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
- Experience leveraging Excel or other analytics platforms for basic report management and basic data analysis for reporting HR KPIs.
- Experience working within a non-profit or start-up environment is preferred.
- SHRM-CP is a plus.
