The Role:
GitKraken relies heavily on our technology infrastructure to support internal and external users while innovating within our industry. As an IT Help Desk Specialist you will streamline the processes that serve the ever-evolving needs of GitKraken employees and users. You will be on the cutting edge of new industry trends and work collaboratively across our team to ensure reliability and security as GitKraken continues to grow.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and manage network security to ensure safe, secure operation of the business
- New user hardware and software procurement
- Manage, scale and optimize in-office connectivity at our Scottsdale HQ
- Security updates, patching, server hardening
- Administer Microsoft Windows Technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS)
- Setup and configuration of VPN, Firewalls and other Network Infrastructure
- Setup and administer desktop and server hardware (including RAID arrays)
- End user setup, troubleshooting, updating, and support
What You’ll Bring:
- 2 years of hands-on IT/IS experience and expertise
- A service-centric mindset to help you successfully serve our internal customers and requests
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities, especially with remote users
- Experience administering company-wide tools on Windows, Mac, Linux
- Excellent understanding of networking and TCP/IP
- Project management mindset and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to respond to off-hours escalations or emergencies

GitKraken is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. While we prefer candidates that are local to the Scottsdale office to take advantage of a hybrid in-person / remote work environment, we understand that talent and drive are much more important than location.
