Core Responsibilities
Financial management
Reporting to our RFD NOAM, you will:
- Ensure appropriate balance sheet structure is maintained for the legal entity
- Provide Support for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable process
- Forecast Cash-flow in cooperation with Group Treasury
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with legal and statutory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures
- Ensure internal controls over financial accounting are properly maintained, documented and reviewed
- Ensure accounting vouchers and finance related legal documentation is safely retained, in compliance with national rules & regulations and Group policies
- Coordinate and lead all external audits
- Primary GBS contact for all functions (ie RTR, FA, AP, AR, etc). Ensure proper service delivery from GBS to the market
- Contact for other acquired entities to provide guidance on accounting and reporting matters
- Manage and oversee filing of reports required by government
- Manage complex / technical accounting transactions
- Acquisition / Integration accounting and reporting oversight
- BOFC Reporting validation and quarterly comments
- Manage the IFRS16 accounting for leases
- Restructuring costs & employee agreements accounting
- G&A Cost Centers Budget Coordinator / Oversight
- Liaison with tax team and third party tax service provider for correct tax accounting entries
- Special Projects
- Lead the local planning and budgeting process, within the framework defined by Group and Division controlling and ensure adherence to functional targets
- Ensure integrity of Givaudan Group management accounting processes and results, including costs of goods produced/sold
- Disseminate consistent and reliable financial information and analysis, constructively challenge business activities and support informed decision making
- Maintain Delegation of Authorities for the legal entity (-ies) in scope
- Coordinate relationship with Corporate Internal Audit; ; ensure on-site logistical support to auditors during their audit missions; organise and follow-up on audit recommendations
- Ensure appropriate local organisation and staffing, incl. job descriptions and back-up solutions
- Maintain and develop skills and competencies of local finance
- Lead in continuous process improvement initiatives
- As a member of the Site Management Committees take an active part in site management
- Represent the employer in the Pension Fund Committee(s) and similar
- Take local lead on any corporate finance projects
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or professional accountancy qualification.
- 10-15 years relevant experience
- Min 3 years of experience in a management role
- Fluent English
- Can Do and problem solving Attitude along with effective solution deployment
- Team Management Experience
- Effective Cross functional collaboration/coordination
- Process Improvement mindset
- Good financial and management accounting knowledge; familiar with statutory and tax compliance matters. Understanding of product costing processes and procedures in a standard costing manufacturing environment
- Technical skills - MS Office software including Excel, Word, Access, Lotus Notes, SAP
