About the Role

Summary

 

This position is responsible for assisting with various duties for the real estate department. This person will be expected to have a strong understanding of real estate lending so they may assist with construction and mortgage loan processes, including but not limited to the following: construction draws, construction inspections, loan processing, loan bookings and payoffs, and stacking/organizing/scanning construction loan files. This person will also be responsible for general phone calls and assisting customers in the office.

 

This person will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, general public, and bank staff. The position requires professional and courteous interaction, and he/she must act in a manner that will enhance the overall efficiency and image of the bank.

 

 

About You

 

Essential Functions

  • Board construction loans upon closing and prepare files for construction loan management.
  • Provide clerical support such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Process construction checks or draws for clients in a timely manner.
  • Inspect construction projects weekly throughout southeast Idaho.
  • Book and payoff mortgage loans as needed.
  • Follow up with title companies for final documents after loan closings.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet customers in friendly, professional manner.

Other duties as assigned by the real estate manager or at the request of the construction loan processor/closer

    • Participate in community service and bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of Citizens Community Bank.
    • Complete required bank and BVS training courses within assigned time frame(s).

Required Qualifications

 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly developed customer service skills required.
  • High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s).
  • Basic skills with spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Team player.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A moderate level of banking knowledge desired.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
