Job Summary :
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front of house staff. Duties include greeting and directing guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and providing assistance to guests.
The Guest Services Supervisor will also ensure that all customer service standards are met and that all guests have a positive experience.
The Details :
Position Type : Full-Time, Year-Round
Start Date : Immediately
Pay : $19.50 / hour
Schedule : Primarily working the 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts, five days per week throughout the year. This position may also need to cover other shifts including graveyard shifts if required, potentially as overtime.
Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Housing : Employee housing is not available

Responsibilities
- Supervise Front of House comprised of front desk and breakfast staff and ensure that they provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Monitor daily operations of the front desk, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests.
- Manage reservations and room availability.
- Ensure accuracy of billing and payment processes
- Monitor and review guest feedback.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Train and coach front desk staff
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure staff compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards.
- Accurately follow and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures. Will assist Location Manager with transfer of safe funds.
- Post charges to guest accounts for services and purchases.
- Offers information pertaining to available services, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
- Assists in ensuring proper procedures are followed for all lost and found items.
- Coordinates with fellow supervisors and Location Manager, the emergency fire evacuation and safety program for Cedar Creek Lodge.
- Understands and follows all PCI Compliance guidelines.
- Keeps open lines of communication with other departments to ensure coordination and synergy of hotel activities.
- Completes all other tasks and job duties as assigned by Location Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Previous experience with hotel property management systems.
- Human relation skills - must be a team-oriented people-person who thrives on public contact.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of hotel management systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and move through them in an efficient manner.
- Ability to interact with diverse peoples and help resolve any issues.
- Ability to work quickly and thoroughly under pressure.
- Knowledge of common office machines, i.e., computers, calculators, copy / fax machine.
- Must possess neat and pleasant grooming habits.
- Must be knowledgeable of Glacier National Park’s history and points of interest.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements include :
- Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Standing for up to eight hours per shift.
- Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift up to 8 hours.
- Working with required chemicals.
