Job Summary
Operate sleever machinery and equipment for daily production. Possess the ability to learn the functions of a unique piece of production equipment and perform troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
Assist management in ensuring plant productivity, quality and safety standards are met.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures in order to keep all employees safe and all products in quality condition. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Be responsible and accountable to maintain Glanbia GMP site standards which include FDA, OSHA and California state standards.
Ensure product quality and food safety by adhering to the quality systems set in place. (HAACP, SQF, SOPs, GMPs)
Continually check products to ensure that they are within specifications and meet quality expectations.
Learn the detailed functions and processes as well as maintenance knowledge of the case packer machinery.
Be responsible for following the scheduled production pace and meeting and exceeding KPIs.
Run machinery within centerline and rate lock
Perform trouble shooting and minor repairs on all equipment and machines involved in the packaging process.
Perform machine change-overs and issue diagnostics as required.
Closely follow highly-detailed written and oral instructions from supervisors and management.
Ensure that activities are performed efficiently and effectively and respond to fluctuating workloads for all production lines.
Demonstrate professionalism in verbal and written communication and behavior.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and possess a desire to grow and accelerate within the company.
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education, Training:
High School diploma / GED required
Experience Required:
A minimum of 1 year of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent attendance and safety record required.
Substantial experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing principles and processes preferred.
Background and knowledge in mechanical processes and equipment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and visual metrics.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to interpret and closely follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
