Manufacturing Intelligence Business Analyst

• Provides MES Application and Infrastructure support services.
• Work with Internal IT Groups and external solution providers to support the MES installations at our Manufacturing sites globally to ensure customer service levels are met and exceeded.
• Carries out Configuration and Asset Management activities across more than 30 MES servers.
• Is responsible for MES service Incident & Problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Understands the MES modules and uses them to configure batches, create operator logs, and build visual factory outputs (Trends and Graphics & reports).
• Understands SQL database technology and is comfortable maintaining applications in a SQL environment.
• Maintain existing SSRS reports and create new user reports as needed.
• Co-Ordinates Change & Release Management activities.
• Analyses system performance metrics to continually improve application services.
• Ensures effective handover from Project phase to in life operational mode.
• Participates in IT service Reviews with the Business MES leads.
• Ensures Standard Tools and Processes are used and ensures adherence to ITIL best practices.
• Recommends Applications specific problem escalations.
• Recommends Application specific continuous improvements.

• Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business information systems, Maths, an Engineering/Automation or other relevant discipline.
• An ITIL Qualification is an advantage.

• 2 years’ Experience of IT service delivery in a manufacturing company would be a distinct advantage.
• A good understanding of manufacturing IT/OT systems and technologies and their core objectives and business value.
• Exposure to Plant automation technologies & terminology, PLC, SCADA, HMI, Labelling systems is an advantage.
• Exposure to OPC data collection technologies and time series historians is an advantage.
• Ability to quickly learn new and complex manufacturing processes and their supporting systems.
• Excellent real world problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Competence with common IT Applications. (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, Project)
