The Opportunity
This position is part of the Glanbia Nutritionals (GN) Accounting and Control Finance team. Perform various routine accounting tasks to ensure timely milk payments, hedge document trades, and banking transactions, to include verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems, coordinate and process Milk Payroll payments, and completing month end accounting reports. Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments, milk patrons, and/or lenders to resolve a variety of problems. Work closely with the Milk Payroll System software supplier to fully understand and facilitate smooth operation of the milk payroll process. This permanent position will report to the Financial Controller.
- Coordinate and Manage the Milk Payroll Process
- Maintain the milk payroll workflow schedule to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of all dairy and outside hauler profile information.
- Work closely with outside lenders to obtain approval, coordinate timing, processing, and payments of dairy milk assignment agreements.
- Ensure accurate payment instructions for all dairies, assignment lenders and outside haulers.
- Respond to both external and internal audit inquiries and dairy accountant inquiries.
- Provide backup and support for other team members performing milk payroll related tasks.
- Administer Milk Payroll Payments Twice Monthly.
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of the milk payroll input information from various sources.
- Process one-time and non-standard milk payroll instructions.
- Occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of five years related experience.
- Track record of achievement in driving performance and change
- Very Strong problem-solving skills, business modelling and Excel acumen, quantitative data skills
- High degree of personal, commercial, and professional credibility
- Driven, energetic and results oriented individual with the ability to thrive under pressurized conditions.
