Position Overview
Glass Metal Craft is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager who can assume the leadership role for maintenance team. You will provide effective leadership through direct supervision and scheduling of all maintenance activity across a multi-shift operation including maintaining current equipment, preventative maintenance, installation of new equipment and general facility maintenance. Description of the work:
· Learn the business – Understand the GMC’s products, equipment, and Customers. Learn how each operation interacts with each other and how the function of the equipment affects the quality and process capability.
· COGZ Maintenance Software – Ability to use COGZ to its full capabilities. Utilize the software for managing spare parts inventory (including the ability to track usage (bar code) and generate reorders utilizing minimum and maximum levels), ease of work request management for Production & Maintenance Team Members, and generating & managing PM’s.
· PM’s robustness and effectiveness and Uptime efficiency – Evaluate PMs effectiveness, timing and impact on critical downtime. Align PMs and maintenance projects to improve operational consistency.
· Maintenance Department Budgets – Establish and maintain an annual financial plan for the facility and equipment maintenance that balances inventory, PMs, and planned investments.
· Maintenance Team Members – GMC’s Maintenance Team is top notch. Your responsibility is to continue their growth and maximize their effectiveness. Maintain schedules for Maintenance Team Members to determine individual tasks and time schedule. Review end of shift results and actual time it took to complete that connects back to PM effectiveness & operational performance.
· Facility Improvements – As part of GMC’s Leadership Team, determine facility & equipment investments based on GMC’s Vision and Business Plan. Manage investments from evaluation through install to Operational start-up & Maintenance.
· Availability – 24/7 availability in conjunction with Leadership Team & Maintenance Team.
Qualifications
· Associate’s or Vocational degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of 8 years’ experience in industrial equipment repair is required
· Requires a minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent work experience. Ability to show leadership and effectiveness leading and developing a Maintenance Team.
· Experience developing PM programs and budgets for facility & equipment maintenance. Ability to show and discuss leadership, success, and impact on business performance.
· Experience in the following areas preferred:
o Mechanical: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps, Bearings, Chains and Belting, Conveying Systems, Valves, Basic Blueprint Reading and Mechanical Troubleshooting
Electrical: Advanced Knowledge and Experience Using Variable Frequency Drives, Advanced and Basic Electricity, Volt Meter and Amp Probe, AC/DC Motors and Control Systems, Basic Schematic Reading, Basic PLC Knowledge, Hardware/Conduit Bending and installation, and Electrical Troubleshooting
