An Engineering Intern at Glassdoor will join one of our small cross-functional development teams building products that provide true value to job seekers and employers. You will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience working closely with senior engineers and other cross-functional members of the team in a supportive and encouraging environment.
We are looking for students with a cross range of interests including front-end development, mobile, and back-end development. The ideal intern will have a passion for technology, learning, and writing quality code.
We are looking for students that are interested in working with our Mobile team and learn how to build out new features on our popular Glassdoor App. The ideal intern will have some Android development experience.
As a Glassdoor Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with Glassdoor technical leaders who will provide mentorship and guidance and participate in planning sessions and other team meetings
- Write well-written, maintainable code supported with unit tests
- Gain working experience in agile methodologies and rapid development
- Deliver mobile features to completion timely with quality and meeting requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- Exposure to building native mobile applications
- Knowledge of Java, Kotlin
- Knowledge of OOP and design patterns
- Exposure to developing Java applications with an excellent understanding of CS fundamentals
- Good understanding of internet protocols and tiered-architectures
- Quick learner, self-motivated to grow and improve your technical and domain knowledge
