We’re looking for that outstanding combination of strategist, marketer, and quant all in one.

As Fishbowl’s Vertical Growth Manager you will be responsible for launching and activating new industries and professional verticals. You will own the charge in building a growth platform with strategies and tactics that power signups, referrals, virality, engagement and retention. You’ll ideally come in with an understanding of the professional dynamics within a few of these new verticals and perform research and analyses on industries we have yet to launch.

You should love the idea of daily challenges, and be relentlessly looking for unconventional solutions to those challenges.

Compensation: $148,400.00 - $185,500.00

  • Tier 1 encompasses the highest salary range for states where large metropolitan areas are located (ie: San Francisco, New York City, Washington DC, & etc)
  • Tier 2 encompasses salary ranges 15% less than those in Tier 1 for states with mid-sized cities (ie: Chicago, Dallas, Portland, etc)
  • Tier 3 encompasses salary ranges 20% less than those in Tier 1 for states with smaller
  • cities (including our Ohio office, Nevada, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Market sizing and research identifying new industries and professional cohorts to launch.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing team on acquisition and penetration strategies into new industries.
  • Drive development and execution of go­-to-­market user adoption plans for new industries, including phasing and marketing.
  • Determine, monitor and measure KPIs for acquisition strategies, adoption, engagement and feed learnings back into product development process.
  • Output data clusters from several analytics tools and perform analysis identifying growth and engagement patterns.
  • Clearly communicate strategic and marketing plans, the benefits and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-­starter. Biased toward action and the ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • 3-­5 years experience in management consulting, marketing, product, operations, or growth.
  • Lack of ego. We’re a startup and we all have an impact but we also do grunt work.
  • Grit. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands­ on.
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort with data. You go get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis, and are fluent in Excel.
  • Marketing experience. You should have a solid understanding of digital marketing channels and their relevant metrics.
  • Product oriented mindset. You’ll always be thinking about ways to improve the Fishbowl experience.
  • Passion. For Fishbowl’s mission and your own work.
  • Curiosity. A never-­ending desire to grow and learn.
