What are the responsibilities and job description for the Migrant/Float MA position at GLBHC?
The Medical Assistant assists the Center by the performance of “floating” job duties. The duties may encompass such areas as reception and medical assisting. Receptionist duties to include greeting patients/visitors at front desk, processing and scheduling patient appointments and providing support with general office work. Medical Assistant duties include gathering patient information, obtaining vital signs, administration of tests/procedures, record completion and filing. Phlebotomist duties include performing phlebotomy services, preparing and sending specimens to appropriate labs.
This position works in our Migrant program during migrant season.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of Medical Assisting program with degree/certification required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a medical setting.
- Bi-lingual Spanish speaking required
- Must be adaptable to changing work patterns/environments on a regular basis.
