Glendale Dining Services is on the lookout for a Food Service Director to join our team. In this role, you will be the leader and mentor in and out of the kitchen. We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about cooking and is looking to grow and learn with us. You will act as the chef and the manager for a team of food service professionals while overseeing catering, ordering, inventory, budgeting and menu planning and FOH operations. All-and-all we rely on you in partnership with the leadership team to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the food service program.

Must Haves:
- 5 years' experience preparing food on a large-scale basis, with a minimum of two years in a management capacity
- Experience working in a senior dining environment is preferred
- Degree from an accredited culinary program preferred but not necessary
- Technical proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, tables, graphics, and Excel spreadsheets
- Successful management experience with the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate team positively
- Good people skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient business etiquette and client relations skills
- Eager to learn through training
- Team oriented with positive attitude
- Business acumen, ability to manage food cost and budget
- Reliable Transportation
- Must have or be able to obtain current certifications and licenses required by local, state, and/or Federal guidelines for food production management.

Salary : $52,700 - $66,800
