Testing Lead
Location: Remote with potential for occasional meetings in Baltimore, MD office location

Duties/Responsibilities
- The client seeks a skilled resource to operate as the PMM Testing Lead. The objective is to provide direction, coach, and direct the application testing process, adherence to testing standards and deliverables, and interdependency of testing across all PMM application workstreams. The PMM Testing Lead will ensure thorough testing of the PMM application components and interdependencies with other applications in order to deliver a high-quality product that will meet business goals and objectives. The PMM Testing Lead’s responsibilities include:
- Organize and control the testing process across all PMM application functions/work tracks
- Ensure visibility, traceability, and control of the testing process to deliver high-quality software across all application work tracks
- Operate in SAFe Agile approach to support testing needs
- Assist with review and update to testing plans
- Monitor test execution across all work tracks ensuring the quality and reliability of application functions/components
- Provide testing resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort
- Apply the appropriate test measurements and metrics to monitor/track progress
- Communicate test results and impacts across interdependent application work tracks
- Review results and report problems and anomalies
- Work closely and collaboratively with both MDH business partners, PMO, and contractor technical delivery teams to understand business requirements
- Ensure software testing is done on time and as planned and notify management about bottlenecks and other issues and risks
- Review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and provide coaching/guidance to testers as needed
- Provider oversight in defect triage meetings
- Report Weekly status to Project Manager(s) on testing progress across all application work tracks
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar
General Experience:
- At least six (6) years of experience in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects (including using test automation, test strategy, developing and executing test plans)
- Experience in quality assurance concepts and best practices
- Experience with web-based applications
- Knowledgeable about writing test cases and test scripts
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and structured with experience operating as a “lead”
Specialized Experience:
- Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Familiar with UAT processes and collaborating with the business stakeholders on UAT process
- Familiarity with defect management tools (HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA )
- Experience in the Healthcare domain
- Experience with Provider Data and Systems
