POSITION SUMMARY
Actively collaborate with others to integrate design efforts, ensuring the seamless functionality of the entire product package. Cultivate a deep understanding of our products, manufacturing capabilities, and market dynamics to make informed recommendations on cutting-edge technologies that align with current trends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Take charge of the entire product development lifecycle, encompassing the development, sourcing, and testing of new products, as well as enhancements, material qualifications, and cost optimization initiatives for assigned concepts, features, systems, and applications.
- Effectively manage resources, proactively identify and overcome project challenges, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgetary constraints.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, actively seeking insights to shape products that align with organizational needs.
- Maintain a balance between project commitments and daily support requirements, prioritizing tasks to meet technical specifications and project deadlines efficiently.
- Contribute both independently and collaboratively to the ongoing improvement of internal and external products and processes, impacting quality, sales, service, and production.
- Facilitate transparent communication by regularly updating management and colleagues on project status and outcomes.
- Thoroughly document the lifecycle of each new product development project, expanding institutional knowledge and creating a valuable resource for future endeavors.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in relevant Engineering field is preferred; industry experience can be used in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated applicable experience and/or education includes: engineering, design, and drafting of manufactured products and associated research and development.
- Proficiency in the use of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD within a manufacturing environment, strong MS Office suite; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel highly preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic schematics to support internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while maintaining engineering and design standards.
- Willingness to remain flexible and adapt to change as we continue to grow as a company.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Work Environment: This role involves operating in diverse settings, including a professional office environment and, at times, a manufacturing production environment. Occasional tasks may require working in the manufacturing environment, where the use of essential protective equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, hearing protection, and safety shoes is mandatory.
The physical demands outlined below represent the requirements for employees to effectively carry out the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to climb and move around, under, and on equipment as needed during testing.
- Occasional duties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, operating heavy equipment and shop environment such as noise, dust, odors.
- Ability to work closely with department supervision and production personnel.
- On-site presence required due to the potential of troubleshooting projects during the entirety of the build process.
