What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Global LT?
SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing Global LT's financial and performance reports and analysis, collecting and analyzing data for accuracy, as well as supporting the senior management team with meaningful financial information. This position will be responsible for updating financial planning software with required operational and financial data and will be responsible for running dynamic forecasting models.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with accounting and finance team during month end process and run report and analyze to evaluate company performance
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis schedules, actual versus budget variance reporting
- Direct involvement in developing financial forecasting and projections models, analysis of revenue trends and projections
- Prepare and distribute internal financial reports, variance analysis, and forecasts
- Prepare periodic external reports
- Design and administration of key performance metrics and preparation of operational performance analysis
- Prepare sales analysis, analyze costs and other factors to determine appropriate pricing
- Consolidating financial reports of multi-entity organization
- Develop ad hoc reports, special studies, and financial analyses which drive the behavior of the business
- Communicate with management at all levels and present results to executive management
- Ability to report to our Troy, MI on a hybrid schedule office a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a closely related field
- 2 years of work experience in a related field, such as Accounting or Finance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and problem-solving capabilities are essential
- Ability to work in an environment that is rapidly changing, where processes and procedures are in development
- Awareness and reliability of timelines for the timely and accurate reporting of financial performance
- Highest degree of integrity and character who takes “ownership” of responsibilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Proficiency in Excel is required
- Experience working in accounting and forecasting/planning systems
- Effective communication and organizational Skills
- Work well within a team
- Professionalism
