Senior Network Analyst

The Sr. Network Engineer may be responsible for: Designing, building, modifying, and / or remediating / trouble-shooting configurations of network infrastructure services for routers, swites, load balancers and firewalls in a fast paced environment. They must be able to effectively understand and implement configurations within these 4 primary network service domains. The Sr. Network Engineer is also responsible for learning internal published standards and external industry standards, enforcing often and coaching towards them when necessary. They must be able to produce professional diagrams, configuration scripts and present them to small audiences at times. The Sr. Network Engineer must always be looking for procedural and technology inefficiencies, putting together plans to address them and communicating these issues to Sr. management. Additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Project planning, assistance, upgrades, new technology evaluations and cross training with other members of the department. Essential Duties: Configure, install and maintain network routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers Report on project and operational status by gathering and organizing information Deeply understand, design-for and support-of routing protocols for WAN and LAN connectivity BGP and OSPF Off-hour support may be required for maintenance windows and / or trouble-shooting Troubleshoot production connectivity issues within the environment to resolution Research new technology to determine what would best support the organization in the future Create models to predict future network needs Produce professional diagrams and documentation required to support environment Education and Experience: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer science related field 10 years of network engineering experience in multiple networking disciplines 6 years networking in the financial technology industry Can configure for LAN, WAN, VPN, SDN, MPLS, Internet, Data Center, Cloud-Solutions, Route, Switch, Firewall, Load Balancer from multiple vendors Deep Platform Knowledge of: f5, Checkpoint, Cisco, Viptela, DNA, SDA, NSX, Juniper Important Qualities: Efficient problem solving and decision making skills Detail oriented with complex information Adaptable and flexible to stress Effective verbal and written communication Positive relationship building Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
