GSE seeks a Database Administrator to support our client, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The position is located at Albuquerque, NM.

A day in the life (a general sampling of the things you may do in a given day):

• Utilize Oracle and MS SQL to provide database administration directing and performing all activities related to maintaining all database environment and designing future implementations.
• Evaluate effectiveness of database management technology and investigating system problems and inefficiencies.
• Resolve questions concerning protocols and interfaces and resolving equipment and compatibility questions.
• Develop systems security POA&M for database related issues.
• Distribute databases among system elements with limited replication across sites.
• Design for the exchange of data between databases to include metadata as well as plans for supporting database replication and synchronization.
• Design for the migration of legacy data from the DSMS Network environment to the legacy system of records and validating the resultant databases.
• Ensure redundant switch-over/fail-over capability exists and is operational when the primary database, network connectivity or local power is unavailable.
• Provide a reliable system of database backup and recovery.
• Develop and maintain DIAMONDS (and other applications) in accordance with current CMMI for Development level 3 standards.
• Ensure all system documentation is complete, current and associated with current Program.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience
• Oracle Database Professional Certification
• IAT Level II qualification
• Federal government experience preferred
• Current and active SECRET security clearance
