Position Title: MTS Design Enablmt Testsite

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Act as a professional, individual contributor electronic design engineer. Responsible for executing design and layout of complex macros for state-of-the-art microelectronic development. Integrate discrete device into large packaged, custom functions designs, carrying out Design Rule Checks (DRC), and additional checking algorithms. Responsible for automating macro design and respond rapidly to dynamic environment. Develop semiconductor device layout. Review design integrity with respect to semiconductor ground rules and design rules. Create new physical design data from concepts, partial schematics, and working knowledge of overall requirements. Perform tasks related to the support design automation toolsets, including programming cadence design kits using software suites. Develop support surrounding test site mask generation. Responsible to test existing design automation methodology. Identify automation opportunities on manual designs and provide design and layout activities for test sites in development of future manufactuing technologies. Develop novel code techniques to address new challenges. Tutor new designers. Lead other designers work and coordinate project deliverables to meet business needs.

Qualifications: Requires a Master’s in electrical engineering, computer science or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as an automation engineer or software engineer related to design enablement or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD in electrical engineering, computer science or related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience as an automation engineer or software engineer related to design enablement in lieu of a master’s degree and 3 years of experience.

Requires experience in: SKILL or LISP coding; semiconductor knowledge; Cadence; development of semiconductor processes.
