Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Globe Life Marketing Services is seeking an exceptional Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join their team in the Lettershop department for our manufacturing location in Oklahoma City.
Job Summary
The First Class Warehouse/Inventory Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, and ordering roughly 500 different components being used in First Class Mail, Quality Assurance, and Policy Issue departments.
Warehouse/Inventory Specialist will prepare pallets of mail to be loaded on a daily mail truck via pallet jack and/or a fork lift.
Palletization process includes (but not limited to) wrapping all pallets to secure the mail trays for transport, a detail pallet sheet and accurate count are expected daily, consolidating trays/pallets as needed, and accurately filling out online pickup slips that will accompany the pallets and will also be sent to the vendor receiving the pallets.
Warehouse/Inventory Specialist will report directly to the Supervisor of First Class Mail to ensure all the requests for materials are met, and all the truck preparation is timely and accurate on a daily basis.
Work in concert with the Supervisors, Leads, and the Manager of other areas/departments to ensure proper storing of materials in shared warehouse locations.
Maintain health levels of materials in the warehouses, and in each department's area.
This position will be trained to utilize Clear Spider inventory system in order to manage the inventory that will include (but not limited to) cycle counting, tracking, labeling, consuming, and receiving any materials in a structured time line required to ensure departments do not run out of materials needed to make production deadlines.
Will include monitoring and implementing resale in the warehouse and production floor.
Track and be responsible for spoilage to update the database.
Will help keep Manager/ Production Supervisor aware of issues that require attention from management.
This position will require good communication skills, initiative, self-discipline, good time management skills, willingness to work with others, self-starter, and regular and predictable communication with all department managers and staff.
This position will require daily use of a PC and must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Regular and predictable attendance and participation in various production meetings are required.
This position will require forklift operation on a regular basis along with manual labor/lifting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtain materials for employees for machine and hand stuff operations to ensure no interruption in production occurs.
- Ensure materials from previous jobs are taken back to the warehouse and put back in the proper location.
- Prepare daily pickup slips/shipping documents for material to be transported out from the GMS location.
- Oversee the resale procedures from approval to removal.
- Enter newly received material into the inventory system and inventory spreadsheets on the network/computer, as needed.
- Oversee the organization and placement of materials in the inventory system match their physical location in the warehouse.
- Check inventory system daily and monitor usages, consumption, cycle counts, and reorder points so as to recognize an item may need to be ordered and to adhere to timeline required by print production.
- Create barcode labels for any newly printed materials prior to storing/stocking in the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse and production floor is kept clean and organized by sweeping daily, and keep the warehouses free of any trash and/or materials that are out of place.
- Full pallets being utilized and stocked in the FC warehouse will need to be stripped of any wrapping prior to stocking in its location.
- Receive and sign for incoming material from outside vendors and check for quality of the boxes/pieces, and ensure the proper quantity was received in comparison to packing list.
- Coordinate/communicate with pre-press staff once orders have passed their expected due dates to confirm a timely delivery, and ensure no interruptions in production occur.
- Facilitate material in & out of designated holding area.
- Move material with pallet jack, forklift, hand truck, mailing post cons, carts, and or by hand.
- Assist in other warehouses, as needed.
- Maintain quality standards & production quotas set forth by management.
- Perform any other tasks or duties as deemed necessary by management.
- Responsible for maintaining a disaster recovery process that entails pulling components deemed necessary by management to send to Waco (AIMS) location to keep housed inventory there in the case of a disaster or inability to operate at GMS facility.
- Any training deemed necessary direct from management, or directly from the company.
- Warehouse restructure; manually restructure the warehouse materials and/or racks to ensure materials are stored in sequential order, as new materials are introduced to the department.
- Supervise temporary employees brought in to assist in warehouse restructure.
- Not limited to all the above and this position can be modified or expanded as management team deems necessary and at management discretion.
Required Skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have a working knowledge of how to use MS Office applications for use in daily duties.
- Inventory control experience preferred.
- Must have good oral, written, and computer communication skills.
- Must be able to read and write in a neat and accurate manner.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and duties in a timely manner.
- Position requires a forklift certification.
Can train/certify on site, if needed. - Must be able to adapt to flexibility in job assignments.

Required Knowledge & Experience
Education & Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Forklift Certification preferred, but can train on site.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
