General Purpose: The community manager reports to the Communications Manager and is responsible for community engagement, observation, and posting.  This includes assisting with social media strategy implementation and engaging with the community through various channels to ensure a favorable public image on behalf of GLOCK, Inc.   Supervisory Responsibilities:   None   Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Responsible for executing community response strategies and engagement through various social channels as the brand and a brand ambassador to further develop the community by participating in discussions and answering questions.  Development of content for various digital and print community materials including the annual publications and community newsletters. Duties may include cultivating new communities and managing branded online communities on the company’s behalf using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, forums, blogs and other social media channels. The community manager will provide assistance to the content creation team and relevant content recommendations based on community feedback and engagement through tracking metrics and monitoring relevant conversations. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of digital and social media and a general understanding of the firearms culture. Additionally, this position will support other areas of communications and messaging development involving the brand community to include email correspondence.   Implements social media and communication campaigns through engagement with communities that align with larger communication strategies. Provide recommendations and assistance in content creation for engaging text, image and video development. Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner on GLOCK managed social platforms and general blogs and forums. Respond and assist with customer queries through private message. Monitor and report feedback and online reviews. Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness. Coordinate with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging. Maintain product knowledge and availability within market spaces. Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists. Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.     Qualifications/Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Social media marketing business participation or proven work experience as community manager including development of ongoing social media campaigns, videos, and community engagement. Experience launching community initiatives such as building an online forum launching an ambassador program and creating an event series. Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics such as repeat attendance and engagements. Excellent verbal and written skills. Hands on experience with social media management for brands. Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics. Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with adequate related work experience. Ability to remain flexible, handling changing priorities and tight deadlines. Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Occasionally, the employee will attend functions where the employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.   Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
