What are the responsibilities and job description for the MFG KARDEX OPERATOR position at Glock?
General Purpose:
Responsible for managing MFG KARDEX Remstar towers by receiving purchase orders, handling replenishments, conducting inventory cycle counts, supplying MFG and supporting all other needs/orders.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Use Microsoft Dynamics AX and Power Pick Global (KARDEX Remstar) to provide MFG WF & ST with orders, process sales orders and purchase orders, and assist with inventory cycle counts
Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancy between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Power Pick Global (KARDEX Remstar)
Run/report Daily Replenish Report and Inventory Discrepancy Report
Run/report weekly high-value inventory accuracy
Analyze/report monthly KARDEX shelf-utilization and space maximization (Power Pick Global)
Maintain good operational condition of KARDEX Remstar towers
Check and report any hardware (KARDEX tower) and software (Microsoft Dynamics AX and Power Pick Global) issues to materials supervisor
Coordinate with MFG Supply Chain Supervisor to fill ST orders
Coordinate with Receiving and Purchasing to investigate purchase order (PO) inventory discrepancy
Coordinate with Maintenance, PL, WF, & ST to pull items as needed
Coordinate with Safety to pull PPE (personal protection equipment) orders
Coordinate with all other departments to fulfill orders
Cycle counts other warehouse locations upon MFG Supply Chain Supervisor’s request
Conduct cycle count KARDEX Remstar towers for end of year (EOY) inventory audit
Operate a variety of equipment, including a pallet jack and hand truck, and using counting scale as needed
5S: Making sure the work area is kept in a clean and safe manner
LEAN: Supports all LEAN activities in the Manufacturing Supply Chain, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards
Ensures all problems are properly reported to MFG Supply Chain Supervisor
Participates in MFG Supply Chain projects under MFG Supply Chain Supervisor as needed
Performs other assignments as needed as directed by MFG Supply Chain Supervisor
Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility
Ensures compliance to ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility
Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures

Education and/or Experience Preferences:
A High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience preferred and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have 1-2 years experiences using computer-based material management and proven proficiency with MRP systems
Knowledge in state-of-the-art ERP systems like MS Dynamics AX, KARDEX and Power Pick Global
Ability to operate a variety of equipment including forklift, pallet jack and hand truck
Ability to be both detail oriented as well as broadly strategic
Attention to accident prevention regulations
