What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Rep position at Glosser Steel?

If you’re experienced in industrial sales, Glosser Steel has a great opportunity for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic Outside Sales Representative to generate leads and drive sales. Our Outside Sales Rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new business and perform cold calls in the field to generate new lasting customers. In addition, you must be comfortable making several calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. This role works closely with the inside sales team, purchasing, management, and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective strategy to drive sales.
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers.
  • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (all within daily driving distance).
  • Self-motivated and able to set agenda while working remotely.
  • Steel industry knowledge is an asset.
