Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring company safety activities and programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment for all employees. Conducts facility and vehicle handling safety audits for all employees. Assists with conducting OSHA training, and investigating vehicle accidents and injuries.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Primary
- Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor the work environment for possible hazards such as slips, trips, falls, electrical shock, and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Assist with entering accident and injury reports into PMvitals.
- Conduct safety audits, to include PPE, Anti-Mutilation, Dress Code, & Vehicle Handling.
Secondary
- Assist Safety Assistant Manager in all safety programs.
- Assist with security audits / investigations
- Assist with issuance / deactivation of access badges
Tertiary
- Assist departments in safety procedures.

Education & Experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.
- HS Diploma/G.E.D.
- Previous Safety Health & Environmental Role preferred
