Summary

The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring company safety activities and programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment for all employees. Conducts facility and vehicle handling safety audits for all employees. Assists with conducting OSHA training, and investigating vehicle accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Primary

• Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor the work environment for possible hazards such as slips, trips, falls, electrical shock, and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Assist with entering accident and injury reports into PMvitals.
• Conduct safety audits, to include PPE, Anti-Mutilation, Dress Code, & Vehicle Handling.

Secondary

• Assist Safety Assistant Manager in all safety programs.
• Assist with security audits / investigations
• Assist with issuance / deactivation of access badges

Tertiary

• Assist departments in safety procedures.

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.
• HS Diploma/G.E.D.
• Previous Safety Health & Environmental Role preferred
