About the role
As a Fleet Credit Specialist II - CVL you will be responsible for a wide array of responsibilities in support of GM Financial's Commercial Vehicle Fleet Credit team, including, but not limited to, credit file processing and maintenance, data entry, customer service, and collaboration between various GM Financial departments, dealers, and vendors. This position requires you to have the ability to professionally develop and maintain positive relationships with internal team members/departments and external customers/parties to ensure and maximize customer experience. Additionally, you will provide mentoring, guidance, and support to new and/or less experienced specialist team members within CVL Fleet Credit.
This position will be located in Arlington, Texas and following a hybrid work model. Hybrid (Combination of work from home and in-assigned office location)
Responsibilities
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Create new customer accounts, utilizing a combination of manual data entry and/or file upload into the established originations and fleet credit systems of record with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in the preparation of renewal e-mails and other correspondence related to the line of credit renewal process
- Train with Fleet department, and other CVL departments, to gaining understanding and prepare for the Fleet Credit Analyst role
- Provide exemplary customer service and support through phone calls and emails to commercial fleet customers, dealerships, related vendors and internal parties, taking professional ownership to provide prompt response and effective resolution of specific concerns
- Perform account maintenance as needed to ensure accurate and up-to-date information related to commercial fleet customers, their portfolio, and other relevant details
- Hybrid work model with required in office days weekly – subject to change
- Knowledge of dealership, fleet/commercial and indirect auto finance industry operations
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- High energy and fast paced office subject to stressful conditions
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in order to meet deadlines
Qualifications
Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 0-2 years of automotive finance experience with commercial vehicle and/or fleet services background preferred
