What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Utility position at GM Floral Co.?
Schedule: Monday to Friday between 5:30 am and 2:30 pm, and Saturdays from 6 am-noon
The Warehouse Utility - Hard Goods employee is responsible for receiving, stocking, fulfilling orders, and maintaining the warehouse and store. This position is critical to GM Floral Co; the Warehouse Utility- Hard Goods employee ensures receipt of product, onsite quantity and quality control, and order processing which ultimately impacts service and the profitability of GM Floral Co. The Warehouse Utility is expected to identify hard good locations on the floor and the warehouse and as required will pull to complete a customer purchase. As needed Warehouse Utility will carry hard good out of branch to assist customers.
SKILLS
- Identifies and inventories all hard goods stocked in the warehouse and store.
- Processes and consolidates customer orders from assigned "pick-sheets," daily.
- Ensures processed order items are boxed, placed on pallets, secured, and clearly labeled for delivery, 100% of the time.
- Documents order discrepancies on "Pick-sheets" and forwards to sales for adjustment.
- Ensures completed customer orders are moved to staging area, 100% of the time.
- Compares bills of lading to product delivered and notes discrepancies, 100% of the time.
- Compares received items to purchase orders and notes discrepancies, 100% of the time.
- Operates forklift or pallet jack to move heavy items (more than 100 lbs.), as needed.
- Audits and records stock inventory assigned to bin location, 100% of the time.
- Monitors and documents product waste, 100% of the time.
- Ensures loading dock and warehouse are swept, maintained, and OSHA safety compliant, daily.
- Pick warehouse items and delivers to check out based on customer orders, as needed.
- Carries hard goods out of branch to assist customers, as needed.
- Wraps hard goods deliveries to prevent breakage, as needed.
