HR BUSINESS PARTNER - BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, OH (ON-SITE)
JOB SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner is responsible for performing a wide variety of HR-related duties focused on talent management and retention. They focus on partnering with assigned operating companies to provide HR services in the areas of talent acquisition, orientation/onboarding, culture, engagement, coaching, employee relations, and compliance. In addition, the HR Business Partner provides additional services to support an effective and efficient HR Department with a focus on customer service.

They focus on partnering with assigned operating companies to provide HR services in the areas of talent acquisition, orientation/onboarding, culture, engagement, coaching, employee relations, and compliance. In addition, the HR Business Partner provides additional services to support an effective and efficient HR Department with a focus on customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with operating company management/leadership on workforce planning and organizational structure needs in alignment with the respective strategic plans.
- Serves as an internal coach for leadership, employees, peers, and team.
- Manages the operating company’s talent in terms of development, performance management, and learning/training needs.
- Partners with operating companies on engagement efforts, performance coaching, and employee development.
- Responsible for cultivating and leading a positive culture through coaching leadership/management and continuous demonstration of company values.
- Handle employee relations issues as they arise, partnering with managers/leaders to conduct investigations and deliver corrective action where necessary.
- Monitors employment law (federal, state, local) that may affect assigned operating companies and continue to be at the forefront of ongoing changes.
- Manages staffing/talent acquisition efforts with the hiring team (and Talent Acquisition Business Partner for some/all roles), leading a positive candidate experience. Sources/recruits for talent as needed based on operating company/region or business need.
- Coaches and mentors other members of the HR team.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or similar major/equivalent work experience.
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or HRCI (SPHR, PHR, etc.) certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of previous HR experience, preferably in a generalist or business partner capacity.
- Experience with Paycor a plus.

- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations across the region.
- Ability to work in a multi-company environment.
- Keen attention to detail and confidentiality matters.
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
