Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support strategies for students.
- Participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, contributing to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students facing social and emotional difficulties, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Administer and interpret assessment tools to support the identification of students with special needs and learning differences.
- Offer consultation to teachers and staff on effective classroom management techniques and behavioral interventions.
- Conduct research and stay updated with best practices in the field of school psychology to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited university.
- Current South Carolina state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments, interpreting results, and providing evidence-based interventions.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education and school psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
