- Top skills: Datacenter rack and stack, network or optical devices, and fiber testing is a plus.
Join our expanding IT field service team as a Datacenter Technician. You'll work full-time at client datacenters, performing essential technical tasks within a corporate datacenter environment. Your role involves installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise-level network solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Physically installing and configuring network equipment (routing, lacing, labeling, terminating and local / remote testing and turn up of Ethernet, switch board, fiber, and power cables)
- Analyzing and resolving network issues.
- Following method of procedures (MOPs) and engineering documents.
- Coordinate low-voltage cable installation according to client specifics including all patching and cross-connects for both voice and data.
- Tracking issues and reporting metrics, assisting with hardware maintenance.
- Managing assets and infrastructure tools.
- Power management configure and maintain PDU, complete necessary documentation, and adjust rack power distribution as needed (not including work typically performed by an electrician, including high voltage wiring)
- Maintaining datacenter cleanliness and organization.
- Providing Layer 1 troubleshooting.
- RMA/Warranty processing and management.
- Site audits, inspections, and survey.
- Limited remote assistance (remote hands) as needed.

- RMA Processing (card/chassis/optic) may include trip to location off site Equipment/Fiber

Certifications (Nice to have, not required):
- CCNA or A
- Google Red Badge
Candidate must have:
- Basic tools including cabling tools
- Laptop with charger
- Smart phone (photo capable) with charger and international dialing
- Vehicle for driving from site to site (travel will be reimbursed)
