About The Opportunity
Develop, execute and continually drive the External Distribution product, pricing and merchandising strategy; supporting the vision, strategic objectives and growth plans of an emerging global business.
As a member of the Global SWOT team this role is responsible for articulating and implementing a robust and comprehensive business plan with clear priorities at both a global and regional level. Engage key stakeholders across the organization and with external partners to identify and monitor market trends and nuances across traditional wholesale, trade and API distribution to achieve optimal commercial and competitive success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive a compelling and strategic product and merchandising roadmap that aligns to the business’ vision and objectives.
- Create and deploy tactical strategies to increase Preferred supplier market share and drive tier-tipping opportunities.
- Develop the oversee the product to market strategy for traditional and non-traditional trade models in each market.
- Define and manage Product Life Cycle - when do we innovate vs retire.
- Report on key KPIs along with actionable insights as recommendations to Global SWOT team.
- Create a range of unique, always-on offers and tactical promotions for the External Distribution business to differentiate from our competitors, increase acquisition, retention and share of wallet.
- Develop, create and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers in each region, articulating the plans and strategies of the business to identify and exploit mutual growth opportunities.
- Provide direction to the Americas Partner Marketing leader to maximize co-op revenue and alignment to product strategy.
- Create unique and highly compelling campaigns that add value to agents, drive commercial returns and create differentiation for the brand.
- Create, execute and monitor the brand pricing and revenue management strategy.
- Thorough understanding and monitoring of the competitive landscape to identify opportunity or lack of competitiveness and respond with action plans to overcome or capitalize.
- Work closely with FCTG Revenue Management team to set, monitor and maintain pricing rules for all product types.
- Leadership Provide discipline leadership and direction to the in-country Product team members
- Create the right structure and foundation for a consolidated business.
- Lead by example, self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
- Ensure the global product direction is clearly articulated and adhered across all markets.
- Drive the successful deployment of the Strategy and Plans Create a regular forum of key stakeholders across product, marketing and sales to ensure their understanding and contribution to the creation, deployment and success of the Strategy.
- Ensure everyone knows what the plans and expectations are and create ownership and discipline to deliver within set timeframes.
