Full Job Description

GOLD Safety & Environmental is seeking an Environmental, Security & Safety Consultant (ESSC) to provide HSE support for Oil & Gas Operations projects in the West Virginia area.

ESSCs work closely with the Client Operations Representative and the Field Safety Supervisor (FSS) to support a safe and healthful workplace and foster positive relationships with everyone they interact with. The role of ESSCs may vary depending on the phase of operation that he or she is observing, including the need for the ESSC to observe special or other unspecified projects.

ESSCs shall, at a minimum:

· Be knowledgeable of each phase of operation underway at the job site, including the scope of Contractor’s Work associated with HSSE obligations

· Understand, be trained in (as ensured by Contractor), and monitor the implementation of the client policies and laws that govern the Work.

· Support Contractor’s compliance with such policies and laws, as well as Contractor’s health, safety, security, and environmental (“HSSE”) program that governs the Work.

· Make informed decisions in the performance of their duties that adhere to Federal, State and/or Local regulations.

· Continually improve professional knowledge, skills, competencies, and awareness of relevant new developments through training and education to ensure ESSC is able to fulfill all requirements of the work; engaging and advising all individuals when unsafe behavior indicates there is an unacceptable level of risk present at the workplace.

· Advise all appropriate individuals when their judgment indicates that there is an unacceptable level of risk.

Preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, degree / certifications in HSE, CSP, ASP or OHST, and a minimum 3 years of experience of Oil & Gas Operations experience. (Civil Construction / Drilling & Completions / Flowback / Production / Midstream)

Candidate must display:

Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to client management and employees. Must be able to present / lead safety meetings on location.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
