Summary:

Nisga’a Tek is seeking multiple Script Writers at multiple job levels to provide program/project management, instructional design, training development, programming and multimedia support to include: business process improvements and analytical studies; instructional system design/development; training support; multimedia and video support; information technology (IT) and data management support; and translation services.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide scriptwriting/multimedia support services encompassing research, story line development and character development for video projects while incorporating instructional principles, theories, concepts, and best practices into plans for training materials and products.
• To support these activities, the contractor shall perform assigned tasks as specified at the task order level.
• Write, format, update, review, and edit materials for training courses and website postings that include, but are not limited to, technical narratives, student training aids, training manuals, instruction guides, lesson plans, policies and procedures, webinars, and computer-based training applications.
• Analyze the needs of the target audience.
• Write and edit instructional materials, technical reports and/or technical documentation using MS Office applications.
• Coordinate contents of final drafts with originators for the final narrative to ensure content and material is suitable in terms of coverage, balance and methods of expression and presentation and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain records of manuscript status, approvals, changes, and corrections during the production process.
• Maintain all program scripts.
• Perform a variety of writing tasks ensuring cohesiveness, clarity, flow, appropriate reading level, and compliance with Army and grammatical writing guidelines. Writing tasks include but are not limited to: narration, scripts, storyboards, and documents previously identified.
• Provide final documents for use in courseware development or film production.
• Conduct all necessary research and client interviews.
• Facilitate the review and acceptance of all documents for technical, legal, security, and public affairs approval as required

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience at this level demonstrating responsibility in assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Level I: Has up to 3 years’ experience and a BA/BS degree or certification. This labor category is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
• Level II: Has 4 to 10 years’ experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree or certification. Typically performs all functional duties independently.
• Level III: Has over 10 years’ experience and/or a MA/MS degree or certification. Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific project/task.
• Level IV: A Subject Matter Expert (SME) has qualifications and/or particular expertise that are exceptional and/or highly unique. SMEs do not have specific experience/education qualifications but are leaders for a given area of expertise. SMEs typically initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues; consults with client to define need or problem; supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
