We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with experience in the “Nuts and Bolts” of HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, regulations, and policies, benefits administration, HR-related data entry, maintaining employee records, and other projects as assigned.
What you will be doing
- Administer the onboarding process, to include company policy review, employee benefits, and data entry: e.g. I-9, employee set up and file creation, and benefit orientation
- Oversee benefits administration, to include new hire and open enrollment, responding to employee inquiries and resolving issues with benefits carriers
- Benefit administration, including insurances, 401k, COBRA. Processing vendor payments, census compilations, employee communications, 401k audit support
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, to include wage and hour, safety, and protected leave
- Manage extended leave requests and documentation
- Ensure employee compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary administer of bi-weekly payroll processing using Paylocity
- Provide payroll support for wage changes, garnishments, tool/uniform purchases, etc.
- Maintain data and process integrity throughout the company’s HRIS system, Paylocity
- Maintain complete and accurate personnel records, to include electronic documentation.
- Design and lead events to attract talent and drive employment branding, including career fairs and community participation
- Drive internal events and rewards for employees, wellness clinics and initiatives, employee acknowledgements, etc.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- An eye for opportunity, ability to influence, focus on efficiency, and passion for best practice
- Strong commitment to integrity, humility, helping others be successful and placing the team's interests over self
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, to all levels of the organization and external customers.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential data with integrity and professionalism
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and human resources practices
- Fluency with the Windows environment, including MS Office Suite. Strong Excel and Word skills.

Estimated pay for this position is $60,000-$70,000 Depending on Experience
