We are a continuous casting aluminum rolling mill who established operations in 1984 and is located in Fort Lupton Colorado, 35 miles north of downtown Denver. We are the proud owner of a patented casting process that supplies coiled aluminum sheet to the packaging and automotive markets with a broad range of alloys, thicknesses, and coatings. - Maintain high personal integrity and ownership in support of company objectives.
- Support the manufacture of aluminum rolled products to meet or exceed company objectives.
- Ensure production, quality and cost requirements are achieved in the areas assigned.
- Work safely in full adherence to company policies. Contribute to the safety of others through observations, initiatives and teamwork.
- Lead continuous improvements in cost reduction, productivity, safety and quality to maintain the long-term sustainability of operations.
- Maintain professional, positive working relationships with coworkers, leadership and customers. Work to the overall betterment of company performance.
- Maintain Process FMEAs and Control Plans. Enact statistical tools as appropriate to reduce the risk of failures.
- Issue routine and special reports as assigned.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures in the Quality Management System.
- Continually develop skills and process knowledge to permit advancement to higher levels of responsibility. Thoroughly document learnings, share knowledge to benefit the development of other employees.
- Provide weekend coverage if/when assigned.
- Share in common tasks as assigned such as periodic leadership of the Daily Operations Meeting
- Stay abreast of new technologies that have potential to improve operations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 4-6 years related experience preferred
- Manufacturing Experience
- Strong facilitation, training and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills with proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000
