We’re Looking For A: Controller to lead dynamic teams, and handle all day-to-day financial reporting and accounting activities. Your strong bias for results, driving strategic initiatives, while leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment would be the foundation for your success. This role reports into the Head of Finance and offers a competitive compensation package with an employee-owned company.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders, including covenants to ensure compliance in accordance with credit agreements.
- Oversee timely and efficient month, quarter, and year-end close process for 35 companies.
- Financial planning and analysis of the company’s vertically integrated B2B and B2C sales and operations consisting of multiple consumer brands, product lines, call centers, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
- Update the company’s financial projection models.
- Financial Due diligence work for business transactions, company valuations, etc.
- Oversee all accounting areas, including debt and equity financing transactions, valuations, ESOP, bank loans, dividends, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, in addition to other existing and emerging topics.
- Assess contractual agreements and provide financial guidance.
- Ensure appropriate processes and internal controls are in place for all financial processes.
- Oversee the research of technical accounting matters, ensuring conclusions are properly supported, documented, timely implemented, and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Review cash and daily sales metrics.
- Department SME for new system implementations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Develop operational metrics relating to achievement of financial objectives.
- Plan and Implement initiatives with speed and accuracy.
- Lead, energize, and scale multiple high-performance teams to meet and exceed expectations.
- Promote a sense of urgency for reaching goals and completing key deliverables.
- Ensure teams’ work-life balance, while delivering quality results and driving high performance.
- Provide teams with effective performance feedback, training, and regular status meetings.
- Effectively manage the audit process and relationships with external auditors.

Required: - 8-10 years’ demonstrated financial/accounting experience including GL and A/P.
- 2-3 years’ at the Sr. Director or VP level
- 5 years’ demonstrated experience leading developing and managing teams led by directors and managers.
- Mid to large size entrepreneurial companies experience.
- Public Accounting experience with a Big Four or national level firm.
- B.A. in Accounting, Finance or similar.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Preferred: - SEC and Sarbanes Oxley reporting a plus.
- Industry preference: E-commerce, direct response, and CPG vertically integrated companies.
