Job Summary
We are a growing Ophthalmology Medical practice with multi-locations in Los Angeles metropolitan area and Central California seeking a responsible payroll specialist/ administrative assistant to perform a variety of payroll and administrative tasks
Duties
- Prepare bi-weekly payrolls
- Perform new employee onboarding
- Deal with day-to-day employee questions, including pay, PTO, policy guidance
- Keep up to date with local, state, and federal labor laws
- Update personnel files as needed
- Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment process for employees, new hire enrollments, and terminations
- Manage employee accrued sick, vacation and PTO programs
- Ensure all pay and benefits are recorded accurately and timely in the payroll system
- Prepare month end accounting reports, including inventory usage and purchases
- Maintain business insurance records
- Assist management with any additional reports needed
Requirements
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with payroll software or the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Strong clerical and data entry skills
- Bookkeeping experience, including the use of Quickbooks
- Familiarity with phone systems for handling employee inquiries
- Previous Human Resources work experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
