REQUIRED qualifications (min 2 years)

  • Advanced experience using Esri Roads & Highways
  • Advanced experience working with linear referencing systems
  • Strong skills in development of analysis procedure, complex system integration, software configuration management, and business analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting and providing customer support
  • Experience working with large, relational databases
  • Experience with integrating and implementing complex technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GIS principals, theories and practices

Job Summary

GoldentTech Systems seeks a Specialist to support the enterprise Roads & Highways product as well as implements data QAQC and advanced data processing to support the statewide LRS network within the Department of Transportation (DOT).  

***The candidate will be allowed to work remotely until all staff return to site. At that point the candidate will be required to come onsite. 
***Personal equipment is expected to be used for remote work.  They will connect to DOT's network using their device/internet and then use a virtual machine via Citrix.  Once the agency return to site, the contractor will be provided a desktop.

Advanced GIS Analyst/Specialist description/duties/skills:

Expected Skills: 

  • Advanced experience with Esri’s Roads & Highways
  • Advance experience in GIS analysis, including the Esri suite of products
  • Advanced experience working with linear referencing systems
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GIS principals, theories and practices  
  • Strong skills in development of analysis procedure, complex system integration, software configuration management, and business analysis  
  • Experience troubleshooting and providing customer support
  • Experience working with large, relational databases
  • Experience with integrating and implementing complex technology solutions

Description (including, but not limited to):

  • Designing, developing, and implementing GIS analytic processes such as change detection and geoprocessing workflows
  • Developing and executing advanced queries or scripts  
  • Maintaining roadway centerline and linear referenced data using Esri Roads & Highways
  • Utilizing GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers
  • Developing and documenting workflows, standards, and best practices
  • Developing and executing test plans for all levels of system testing
  • Scheduling meetings and coordinating project deliverables
  • Developing instructions for application support
