What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at Goldin?
As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for leading your sales team to reach and exceed quarterly and annual targets and enabling them to bring in consignments for sale. You will train your global team to perform to their highest potential.
You will work closely with our Director of Revenue Operations, Head of Sports, Head of Comics Client Partnerships, and the Account Management team to accomplish your business objectives.
Ultimately, you should take ownership of your team’s pipeline and responsibility for hitting key activity metrics and closing deals. The ideal candidate will feel empowered and win while working collaboratively with colleagues across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a global team across multiple time zones
- Manage quota and pipeline
- Coach, mentor and provide constructive feedback to team members consistently
- In partnership with Finance and Revenue Operations, participate in process to set sales quotas,
- Asses current and prior individual performance metrics
- Maintain the highest levels of integrity, authenticity and honesty
- Use sales training techniques & methodologies to up-skill and enhance team performance
- Identify personal motivators for team members and build trust
- Achieve/exceed agreed metrics and KPIs
- Provide team with the tools, strategies and frameworks to achieve sales targets
- Accurately forecast pipeline in Salesforce
- Act as a liaison for our customers and provide feedback to the business and product owners
- Assess individual performance and suggest corrective actions, as needed
- Uphold company values and embrace team culture
- Assess current team processes and procedures; identify areas for improvement and implement them
- On-board and train your sales team to become strong individual contributors
- Must be able to travel as required
Qualifications
- BA/BS required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 plus years’ sales management experience
- Hobby knowledge preferred
- Sports knowledge preferred
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Proven leadership qualities through coaching and mentoring new and/or tenured sales teams
- Ability to analyze sales performance metrics
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
