Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product and inventory using various equipment like forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:
Move product and inventory following FIFO inventory control system.
Perform manual lifting, packaging, taping, and labeling operations.
Complete appropriate shipping or movement documentation.
Load and unload trucks and tanks.
Accountable for accurate inventory counts.
Properly inspect and verify paperwork, seals, and samples.
Record data such as product, lot numbers, and quantities.
Coordinate trash and recyclable removal.
Proactively recognize and report safety issues.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years experience driving various types of powered industrial trucks in manufacturing environment required.

Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.

Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
