We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Middle School Generalist Teacher to join our team at Goliad Independent School District.
Job Summary:
The Middle School Generalist Teacher will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students in grades 6-8, including English, mathematics, science, and social studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and learning, and will be able to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and meet the needs of all students.
- Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in a middle school setting.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
