The Order Puller is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are safely and efficiently pulled and loaded in accordance with established work processes while maintaining WCPI’s exceptional standard of workplace safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

- Review customer pick-list for comments regarding color, quantity, quality, size & tagged product
- Isolate damaged product to a designated area and notify supervision
- Communicate to Checker or supervision any short items, low inventory, quality issues or substitutions
- Builds pallets following proper stacking and storage methods to ensure stability and to prevent product damage.
- Load and arrange all orders to ensure the safe delivery of products to customers
- Keep a record of completed orders
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position primarily works in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts (sit-down and stand-up), and pallet-jacks. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects ranging from 10 to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

PRE-REQUISITES
- Must pass pre-employment background, physical, and drug screen
- Must have valid Class C license and Motor Vehicle Report
- Produce knowledge a plus – (i.e., fruits & vegetables, organic & conventional)
- 1-year experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience with a forklift, electric pallet-jack & hand-truck a plus
- Read, write & effectively communicate verbally in English (bilingual a plus)
- Perform basic arithmetic (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and uses basic numerical concepts (e.g., whole numbers, percentages) to complete job tasks
POSITION TYPE AND HOURS OF WORK
This is a night-time position and interested candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours as required by business operations.
